Lowest Fee Crypto Yield Farming

My current hypothesis is that you should yield farm on the network with the lowest transaction fee. What does this mean?

A look at some popular crypto icons as of 2021

It is no secret that Ethereum’s popularity and relatively low (currently) transactions per transaction has caused very high gas fees (I’ve been “quoted” over $50 per transaction), so unless you have 6+ figure sums to swap and then provide to a liquidity pool, many of the popular ERC20/Ethereum based providers are out.

Binance Smart Chain has fees well under $1 but it is relatively difficult to obtain BNB to convert if you cannot use Binance due to your place of residence. Pancakeswap seems to be a suitable choice here.

In my limited experience, those built on the Cosmos platform are the most appealing. Time will tell but Kava and Osmosis have almost no fees as of 2021 with pool APY on par with the others I have seen using BSC or Ethereum.

I think it is very important to keep your fees low unless you have an absurd amount of crypto to throw around. Someone with only a few hundred or thousand dollars would do better on Binance Smart Chain or Cosmos based DeFi apps. The are of course risks such as Impermanent Loss or the platform being compromised. Only invest what you can afford to lose, but look at these lesser known platforms as an alternative to the high Ethereum gas fees at least until Ethereum 2.0 materializes.
